Chatterbox: His sweaters are way better than Bill Cosby's

March 20 has the distinction of being promoted as "Sweater Day" to honor Fred Rogers from "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood," who died five years ago. The date falls on what would be Rogers' 80th birthday. With plenty of time to dig out a delightful cardigan, will you be participating in the event?

I'll definitely be taking part in this event because I have a feeling seeing retro-patterned cardigans everywhere will make for a beautiful day in the neighborhood - or at least a smirk or two. Here's hoping Mr. McFeely attends.

Initial reaction: No. Way. Second reaction: You'd better believe I'll be participating in this event! Mr. Rogers is the man. I'll even take special time out of my day to feed my fish like he did at the end of every episode.

Sorry, Fred Rogers, but I only celebrate the birthday of one Fred -- Fred Durst. That will be Aug. 20. The celebration will involve me wearing a backward baseball cap and doing it all for the nookie.

For sure! I've been waiting for an excuse to wear the Argyle sweater vest I bought at the thrift store last year. Nobody could talk to a puppet like he could; I have to pay my respects.
