Braese was one of more than 100 students, faculty and community members who gathered at the steps of Shryock Auditorium Tuesday afternoon for a vigil in remembrance of the victims of the NIU shooting. Clinton started the Clinton Global Initiative in 2005 to take action against some of the worlds most challenging problems. Clinton has organized a program called CGIU for college students to get involved in making a difference around their campuses, according to the CGI Web site. Chris Klarer, coordinator of the student environmental center at SIU has never been introduced to the Clinton's program, but seems to hold some of the same expectations as Clinton. Klarer said the environment group at the university is trying to get policies set up to lower carbon use.…
