Today marks the four-month anniversary of the death of our friend and co-worker, Ryan Rendleman.
For those who are wondering, here are some updates on the memorial to Ryan:
- The plaque was installed in front of Ryan's tree, as we call it in the newsroom, in front of the Communications Building.
- A scholarship fund in Ryan's name is more than three-quarters of the way to its $25,000 goal, with about $18,500 collected so far.
- Ryan is on the preliminary list for the 2008 Freedom Forum Journalists Memorial at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
The School of Journalism and the Daily Egyptian are, and forever will be, remembering Ryan.
