Dear Editor:
The Sept. 19 Daily Egyptian editorial finally convinced me that members of your staff are experts in defining and interpreting plagiarism, and are competent to judge anyone accused of this.
So, I believe we need to learn from your total mastery of writing. I recommend the creation of a Web site where we can read every paper written by you (the editorial board and artist) in every class you have taken at SIU. A deadline of 12 hours from the time of publication of this letter seems reasonable for your work to be posted on this Web site. For those of us who may need more examples, I suggest every paper you turn in from now through your academic studies at SIU also be available as you complete the assignments. The purpose of this Web site would serve to document your complete innocence in never omitting quotation marks or referring to a source without formally citing it.
Perhaps this will give you something constructive to do so you can "rest your minds from issues that plague you" and you can keep busy while "anxiously waiting for the answers to the questions you hold most dear."
