Yesterday, magician and endurance artist David Blaine made an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show and held his breath underwater for 17 minutes and 4 seconds, beating the former record of 16 minutes and 32 seconds set by Switzerland's Peter Colat. Blaine now plans to break the record for staying awake, which is currently set at 11 1/2 days. What do you think of Blaine's mastery of drawn-out, mundane feats?
Devin Vaughn
I take it as personal challenge to set the record for not caring.
Alicia Wade
Ugh, I second Devin. You know what's way cooler than abusing your body? Caring for it.
Danny Wenger
He's just mad he can't do real magic, like fight a Balrog.
